I am so ready for the weekend…

Oh my goodness, who really wants to be at work today?  Not me.  It’s supposed to be 72 degrees today.  I would much rather be out shooting pictures then being here at work, working!!!  LOL  Right now, my eyes are going buggy.  I’m tired of typing these reports for the Plattsburg Personnel Evaluation.  Let me tell you, this can be so exciting!!!

Anyway, tonight we have our other mixed group that we apprentice under.  We are finishing chapters 5 & 6 of the Prodigal son.  Last night, Brian and I were going over some questions that Brian came up with.  I feel bad that I didn’t come up with any of the questions.  We are going to hand out a sheet of paper to everyone so they can read along with the questions.  You know, when you are asked a question, I know with me, I sometimes need it repeated.  That is kind of what we were thinking about when we decided to do the sheet of questions.

Today’s Verse from the New Living Translation
“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

John 15:4–5

Encouragement for Today
Jesus states our utter dependence on God. Are we okay with this, or do we try to do “some things” on our own? Jesus said apart from him we can do nothing. Nowhere in the Bible—not even Proverbs—does it state that “God helps those who help themselves,” though many people mistakenly believe that’s in the Bible. The Bible’s position is this: we’re utterly dependent on God, and apart from him we can do nothing.

Isn’t that so true.  “We are so utterly dependent of God, and apart from him we can do nothing.”  I fully believe that we can do nothing without Him.  He needs to be your strength in all you do.

Keep pressing into Jesus!!!  Have a blessed day.  Love, love!!!  XOXOXO
