Sorry it’s been a while…

Things at work have been crazy busy.  This weekend went well except for Sunday.  I woke up with a darned Migraine.  So needless to say, I was down all day long.  The just zap me so badly and it sucks that it took my day away.  But you know, it is just a time to keep praising God for everything that goes on in our lives, good or bad.

Saturday, I took Little Brian out and took a few pictures of him and so far this is my favorite one.   He is such a handsome kid and he isn’t even showing his face, but I like the way the picture turned out.  My husband said it would make a good cover for a country album.  I just laughed at him.  Anyway, he said it reminds him of some guy that is on a journey thinking about life and just watching his feet as he walks and letting his mind wander.

Today’s Verse from the New Living Translation

Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Acts 3:1–6

Encouragement for Today

Peter perceived and met the lame man’s true need, his deepest need, the need he’d perhaps given up on. The lame man’s goal was simply to survive; his biggest hope was to get his most basic needs met through money. However, God wanted to get at the underlying issues and heal him completely. Are there any areas of your life where you need healing? You may think you need “money,” but God knows your true need. Let him get to the core of your issues. Dare to believe he wants to heal you completely.

Well now I have one of my guys up here at my desk telling another one of the guys that I am the meanest person ever.  I just laugh at him, especially when he turns around and tell everyone how much he appreciates the work I do for his team.  They just kill me.  LOL!!!
